Happy Birthday, Queen Bey!

Today should be a national holiday...it’s Bey Day! On September 4, 1981 our Queen, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter was born in Houston, Texas. Over time, we’ve watched Beyoncé transform into not only a wife, mother and one of the most legendary performers ever, but also into a fashion icon! Scroll her Instagram and you’ll quickly find Beyoncé is never afraid to take a chance. Her fashion choices, although sometimes questionable, always leave us wondering how she always looks so effortlessly FLAWLESS...

In honor of Queen Bey’s 38th birthday, we’re taking a look back at four different colors of gowns Beyonce wore that had us all stunned. Her signature red carpet looks often include simple silhouettes and glamorous jewels. Keep scrolling to see one of our favorite divas serve us look after look...

 WHITE

All of Beyoncé’s looks are white hot but these gowns are our favs! On the left, Beyoncé was a “vision in white” at the 2016 Grammy’s. The singer wore a bridal gown by Isaraeli designer, Inbal Dror with a beautiful embellished collar. On the right, is one of Bey’s earlier white looks at the 2014 Grammys when she wore a sheer, white lace, Michael Costello gown with her infamous “Drunk in Love” bob that we all loved!

GREEN

There’s no doubt Queen Bey looks like a bag of money every time she wears green, but these looks are hands down, two times we all fell in love with her all over again. On the left, Mama Bey and Baby Blue both don Gucci gowns to attend the Beauty and the Beast movie premiere. In October 2017, Beyonce set Instagram on fire when she posted photos in an emerald green, Walter Collection dress along with a purple fur stole that stole all of our hearts!

BLACK

Any time Beyoncé bets on black, she wins! On the left is a photo from the 77th Academy Awards in 2005 where Bey wore a strapless, velvet gown by Atelier Versace. It’s looks like these that makes us look forward to seeing the superstar every time she steps foot on the red carpet. Speaking of looking forward to Bey’s looks, another event that the Queen doesn’t disappoint at is the Met Gala! Every time she attends, she brings her A-game and the look we chose is no exception as Bey drifted down the red carpet at the 2014 Charles James: Beyond Fashion themed Met Gala, looking amazing.

GOLD
Beyoncé deserves an Olympic medal for her looks when she “goes for gold!” Her gowns are always jaw dropping but when Queen Bey shows up looking like she’s been dipped in golden honey, it takes her to a whole new level. On the left, Beyoncé took our breath away as she floated down the red carpet effortlessly setting everything on fire as she moved. A stunning, golden halter gown with a plunging neckline by Elie Saab had Bey looking like perfection at the Golden Globe Awards in January 2007. On the right is a more recent photo of Beyoncé from this summer. For the European premiere of The Lion King, Queen Bey stunned us all as she channeled her inner “golden girl” once again. That night, Beyoncé wore a beautiful high slit, lamé gown by Vietnamese designer Nguyen Chong Tri and of course she stole the show, per usual!

Happy birthday, Queen Bey! We hope you enjoyed this walk down memory lane of one of the most inspirational “mompreneurs” on the planet!
